Possibility of Returning?
The Thunder are currently playing with the idea of returning to the ice this year. But if that is the case it will not be in the Chinook League.The idea of playing senior A has been introduced and if there is enough guys willing to commit, the team might start up again.The team would need to play exhibition games only since there is no Senior A in central Alberta.We will keep you posted if there is any news pertaining to this.

The Millet Thunder will be taking a year leave of absence from the Chinook hockey league.Hopefully with some more volunteers the team will return in 08/09.Good Luck to all the remaining teams and thanks to the fans for helping us for the last 3 seasons.If you have any questions post the forum also a new temp GM and contact number will be listed soon.
Presidents Cup Final
After 2 lack luster performances with the Rocky Rams lossing 11-7 and 10-3 the Thunder were all but finished for the season.They had to play the Beaumont Warriors home and away to finish their league commitments for the year.They first game in Millet was a surprising one with the Thunder pounding a 16-6 win into the Warriors who showed up with a thin line-up.Cord Harvey,Adam Watt and Clint Alexander all had natural hat-tricks and way to many helpers to count.The final shots were an amazing 72-46 for Millet.The second contest went on Saturday in the River Cree Casino with Beaumont showing up with a lack luster line up.The Thunder broke into a early 5-0 lead after the 1st and continued the onslaught leading 10-1 after 2 periods.That was enough for the Warriors who threw in the towel and forfited the game.So after 2 big losses the Thunder are right back in playing Rocky again in a best of ?( undecieded series length due to ice removal).It looks like a best of 2 game total point starting Friday in Rocky and ending Millet Saturday.We will keep you posted with game times.
